라즈베리파이 전용 고품질 사운드 모듈인 HiFiBerry 시리즈가 디바이스마트를 통해 국내에 처음으로 정식 판매를 시작했다. 지금까지는 해외 직구를 통해서만 구할 수 있었던 인기 제품을, 디바이스마트에서 국내 처음으로 Reseller 자격으로 정식 판매를 할 수 있게 된 것이다.
HiFiBerry 시리즈는 ‘Raspberry Pi HAT’의 형태로 출시되고 있다. Pi HAT의 장점은 바로 납땜 작업 없이 간단하게 라즈베리파이와 연결할 수 있다는 것이다. 또한 결합 시 사이즈가 커지는 것을 방지하기 위해서 보드의 아래쪽에 커넥터가 장착되어 있어, 장착한 상태로도 현존하는 대부분의 라즈베리파이용 케이스와 함께 활용할 수 있는 제품이다.
현재 판매되고 있는 C사의 오디오카드 모듈의 아날로그 출력 단자가 Stereo 단자로 되어 있어 Y 케이블로 앰프와 연결해야 하는 단점에 반해, HiFiBerry의 RCA Version 제품들은 인터 케이블을 직접 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
무엇보다도 HiFiBerry 시리즈의 큰 장점은 높은 성능에 비해 매우 저렴한 가격이다. 디바이스마트에서는 현재 Burr-Brown사(社)의 DAC chip을 사용한 DAC+ standard – RCA version과 Phone jack version이 46,800원에, ESS DAC chip이 장착된 DAC+ Light – RCA version 제품은 36,400원에 판매 중이며, 높은 품질에도 경쟁력 있는 가격으로 많은 소비자들에게 각광받고 있다.
디바이스마트는 현재 HiFiBerry의 다양한 제품군들 중에서 라즈베리파이 B+ 및 라즈베리파이2 모델 B와 호환되는 HiFiBerry DAC+ 시리즈, Digi+ 시리즈, 그리고 Amp+ 시리즈 모두 판매중이다. 각 제품들에 대한 더 자세한 사항은 디바이스마트 홈페이지에서 확인 가능하다.

Improve your sound! The HiFiBerry DAC+ is a high-resolution digital-to-analog converter for the Raspberry Pi Model A+/B+ and 2B. This is a special sound card for the Raspberry Pi, that is optimized for one specific use case: the best audio playback quality.
This is the standard version which uses RCA connectors that you know from your normal stereo equipment (there is also a phone jack version). You can use any RCA cable you like. You can even add a phone jack onto the board (you have to solder it by yourself).
- Dedicated 192kHz/24bit high-quality Burr-Brown DAC for best sound quality.
- Hardware volume control. You can control the output volume using “alsamixer” or any application that supports ALSA mixer controls.
- Connects directly to the Raspberry Pi, no additional cables needed.
- No soldering required – comes as a pre-fabricated kit. You just plug it onto the Raspberry Pi B+, conform to the Raspberry Pi hardware-attached-on-top (HAT) specification. Mounted in less than a minute.
- Compatible with Raspberry Pi Model A+, B+ and 2B
- Directly powered from the Raspberry Pi, no additional power supply.
- Ultra-low-noise voltage regulator for optimal audio performance.
- Available with different output connectors: RCA or 3.5mm phone jack.
- Integrated EEPROM for automatic configuration (with write-protection). Note that this feature is still in development by the Raspberry Pi foundation. You will be able to upgrade your HiFiBerry DAC+ when it is officially available. The sound card already works without this feature.
- Comes with all components required to mount it. We include 4 M2.5x12mm spacers to fix the board onto the Raspberry Pi.
Notice about the compatibility with Raspberry Pi Model A and B: This board is only compatible with the new Raspberry Pi Model A+, B+ and 2B. If you have an older Raspberry Pi, please use the HiFiBerry DAC.

The HiFiBerry Amp+ is a high-quality, highly efficient Class-D power amplifier for the Raspberry Pi. Mount it onto the Raspberry Pi model A+, B+ or the new Raspberry Pi 2B and you have a stereo audio system. You only have to connect your loudspeakers. It is the ideal building block for multi-room audio installations.
- Class-D amplifier with up to 2x25W output power.
- Capable of driving 4 Ohm speakers.
- Fully controllable from the Raspberry Pi.
- 44.1kHz and 48kHz sample rates.
- Digital-analog conversion included, no need for external DACs or sound cards.

- This does not include the external 12-18V power supply that is needed to operate the HiFiBerry Amp and the Raspberry Pi but we have both a 12V PSU and 18V PSU available.
- It powers the Raspberry Pi, there is no need to add an external 5V power supply to the Raspberry Pi. However if you want to use power-hungry USB components you need to use a powered USB hub.
- You can’t connect the power to the Micro-USB port of the Raspberry Pi. The whole system including the Raspberry Pi will be powered from the external12-18V power supply.
Raspberry Pi compatibility: Note that the HiFiBerry Amp+ works only with the newer Raspberry Pi model A+, B+ and 2B, not with the older model A/B. Check out the HiFiBerry Amp for these models.
